Belais Sapphire Diamond Deco Band White Gold
Belais Sapphire Diamond Deco Band White Gold
A marquise cut blue sapphire is set vertically between two diamond-studded pear shapes set horizontally in this Art Deco ring. The filigree mounting adds a flourish of decoration to the geometric composition. Belais was among the earliest creators of white gold jewelry in the late 1910s as a substitute for platinum during WW1. They were so successful that the term Belais became synonymous with white gold jewelry.
